Chris Caurla is an award-winning multimedia reporter with a focus on on-the-ground coverage of social justice issues. He has worked with top media outlets in Italy, Germany, and the US, contributing to international investigations published by DW and in joint collaborations with Netra News, Lighthouse Reports, and The Guardian.

He has reported on human rights abuses in Bangladesh, the opioid crisis in West Africa, and the wars in Gaza and Ukraine. His work includes documentary investigations with results discussed in EU parliamentary committees, talk shows watched by millions, and collaborating on the launch of Planet A, one of YouTube’s most successful channels on environmental issues, and Don’t Drink the Milk, a top 5 history podcast in the US. His stories have reached millions globally and earned numerous international awards, including the Asian Broadcasting Union UNICEF Award, the Deauville Green Award, and the Human Rights Press Award.

Currently, Chris is based in New York, where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Politics at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.​
